The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- minor signs of staining and soiling across the paper;
- some small areas of paper loss and damage, particularly near the four corners of the scroll;
- some discoloration of the scroll, particularly near the signature area;
- visible horizontal crease lines, particularly along the left and right edges;
- it is in our opinion that this work is in overall good condition.
